Blackwing Press 

 Blackwing Press was established in 2016 as the imprint of a small author cooperative offering quality writing informed by provocative perspectives, publishing narrative non-fiction and short prose fiction.

Blackwing Press is now an independent  publisher of memoir, autobiography, autoethnography and other forms of narrative non-fiction reflecting personal experience and its interpretation. Blackwing  also publishes fiction: collections of short stories, novelettes, and novels with a focus on family histories, transgenerational issues and intimate dynamics.

Blackwing books aim at being literary and popular at the same time, using good writing to explore ordinary as well as extraordinary experiences in recognisable spaces and times. Blackwing is especially interested in writing from the Austro-Pacific which reflects culture and history through diverse perspectives and contexts.

Blackwing books appear on Amazon Kindle, other e-book platforms and in paperback through Kindle Direct Publishing and Ingram Spark. Books can be ordered from any good bookstore or online via national and international distributors. Special release books with author signatures maybe be purchased using Paypal direct from the Blackwing site.

Nepenthe Press, Blackwing’s sibling, publishes experimental writing, neofiction, imaginative and theoretico-critical writing which pushes boundaries, queries rules and embraces new artistic possibilities. Nepenthe is keen to explore Austro/Pacific  poetry/prose pieces and works integrated with black and white illustration, photography or graphic art and design.
